Bula-Atomba water supply system rehabilitation project – a project under the framework of China loan and has been completed by ACEG Angolan Branch. A grand completion ceremony was held on March, 22nd. H.E. Mr. Lucrécio Da Costa, Angolan Secretary of State for Water Resources and Energy, and H.E. Ms Mara Quiosa, Governor of Bengo province, attended the ceremony and delivered their speeches and cut the ribbon for the completion ceremony.
 
Mr. Lucrécio Da Costa and his delegation inspected some of the key construction sites such as the water intake points and the water treatment station, inquired in details about the operation of the equipments and water supplies. In their speeches, Mr. Lucrécio Da Costa has appreciated the efforts made by ACEG Angolan Branch for the successful completion of the project, and Governor Mara Quiosa thanked ACEG Angolan Branch and all the project participants for their contribution to solving the water supply problems for the local residents.
 
Bula-Atomba water supply project is located in Bengo province, Angola, and the construction of the project began in March, 2017, the contract amount is USD$9.1653 Million. The construction tasks mainly included water intakes; a reservoir; a water treatment plant and pipeline laying works and so on, after the completion of the project, the water treatment plant will have a daily water supply capacity of 1,320 tons, that the problem of water supply for more than 8000 local households will be solved once and for all.
 
In addition, one more thing worth mentioning is that, in the implementation of the project, hundreds of local people were employed on the project, which has played a positive role in alleviating the local unemployment problems.
